Assembly & Installation
Most people can install Flappie themselves in a few minutes. And for those who prefer to lean back – or have a glass door – our certified Flappie partners can take care of it.
Two Simple Ways
Do it yourself – or sit back and let a professional handle it. Both are easy.
Path A
Done in a few minutes.
Path B
Sit back – we'll take care of it.
Do you already have a cat flap or opening? Take a quick measurement of it. If it fits, you can mount Flappie directly onto it. If it's larger, a mounting adapter will neatly and securely fill the gap.
No problem. In a wooden or plastic door, it is cut to fit; for glass, a glazier makes a new pane with a pre-cut opening; for thick doors or walls, a tunnel extension provides the correct depth.
Do the 30-second check. We'll tell you which path suits you best – no prior knowledge required.

Frequently asked questions
Briefly measure your opening. If it fits, you can mount Flappie directly, often in just a few minutes. If the opening is larger than Flappie, a mounting adapter will neatly and tightly compensate for the gap. If it's smaller, it will be slightly enlarged. The 30-second check will tell you what applies to your situation.
No problem. In a wooden or plastic door, the opening is cut to size; you can do this yourself or a Flappie partner can take care of it. For glass, a glazier will make a new pane with a pre-cut opening. For a thick door or a wall, a tunnel extension ensures the correct depth.
You can easily install a standard wooden or plastic door yourself, preferably with two people, one inside, one outside. For glass, metal, thick doors, or a wall, a certified Flappie partner will handle the installation. If in doubt, the 30-second check will show you the right way.
No. For installation in a door or wall, you first get a brief OK from the landlord or administration. When you move out, the spot will be professionally restored. For a glass door, we install Flappie into a new, custom-made pane; your original pane remains and is simply reinstalled when you move out. In a condominium, you briefly clarify it with the homeowners' association.
