Thank you for your order with Flappie. This Shipping Policy describes how we process, package, and ship your order, as well as the key terms around delivery, shipping costs, and delivery issues. It supplements our Terms and Conditions; in case of conflict, the Terms and Conditions prevail.

1. Current Shipping Status

Flappie is currently in the delivery phase of the Reservation Program (Flappie Founders Program). Specifically:

  • Currently (May/June 2026): We are shipping existing reservations in the order in which they were placed. The provisions in Section 8 (Reservation Phase / Pre-Sale) also apply.
  • Expected from June 2026: Shipping from regular inventory. Orders are processed under the general shipping terms in this Policy without reservation mechanics.
  • Possible return to a reservation phase: Due to production constraints or stock-outs, Flappie may temporarily revert to offering reservations only. In that case, the provisions in Section 8 apply again.

We clearly indicate the applicable shipping status on the product page and at checkout. For questions about the current status of your order, contact us at info@flappie.ch.

2. Shipping Regions

We currently ship to the following regions:

  • Switzerland (including Liechtenstein)
  • European Economic Area (EEA) — including all EU Member States as well as Norway and Iceland

Shipping to the United Kingdom or to other countries outside the regions listed above is not currently available. If an order is inadvertently placed from a non-covered region, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the full amount.

3. Carriers, Delivery Times and Shipping Routes

We ship all orders from our central warehouse in Germany. Depending on the destination, we use the following carriers:

Delivery times are non-binding estimates and begin upon handover to the carrier. Orders are bundled into regular dispatch windows (initially once or twice per week) and handed to the carriers from our warehouse. There is currently no fixed daily cut-off time; specific dispatch dates are communicated by email once your order has been shipped.

We reserve the right to adjust delivery times for seasonal peaks (e.g. holidays), production cycles, or factors outside our control (force majeure, strikes, customs delays). Section 5 (Risk and Transfer of Risk) and Section A 5 of our Terms and Conditions apply.

4. Shipping Costs, VAT and Customs Duties

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are displayed transparently at checkout and vary by destination region and order value. There is currently no free-shipping threshold.

VAT

We ship on a DDP basis (Delivered Duty Paid): all VAT and any customs duties are included in the checkout price or shown separately at checkout and remitted by us in advance. No additional taxes or customs fees are payable by you to the carrier upon delivery.

Specifically:

  • Switzerland: Swiss VAT 8.1% is shown on the invoice.
  • Germany: German VAT 19%.
  • Austria: Austrian VAT 20%.
  • Liechtenstein: Swiss VAT 8.1%.
  • Other EEA countries: The VAT rate applicable in the destination country.

Customs duties

Our logistics setup is designed so that no additional customs fees arise on delivery. In the very rare case that a customs charge is nevertheless levied directly on you, please contact us at info@flappie.ch with the receipt; we review each case individually.

Further details on tax treatment are set out in our Terms and Conditions, Section A 18.6.

5. Risk and Transfer of Risk

All shipments are insured.

  • For consumers in the EEA, the risk of accidental loss or damage passes to you under Article 20 of the EU Consumer Rights Directive only upon actual delivery to you (or to a person designated by you who is not the carrier). Until that point, Flappie bears the transit risk.
  • For Swiss consumers and for non-consumer orders, risk passes upon handover to the carrier in accordance with Section A 8 of our Terms and Conditions; any mandatory consumer-protection provisions remain unaffected.

6. Tracking and Delivery

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email containing the tracking number provided by the carrier. You can follow the current status directly on the website of the relevant carrier (Swiss Post or DHL). End-to-end tracking across multiple carriers is not offered.

Given the value of the goods, all orders are shipped requiring a signature on delivery or an equivalent identification step provided by the carrier, where this option is offered. If you are not available at the time of delivery, the carrier leaves a notice and the package can be collected from a branch, parcel locker, or pickup point within the carrier's holding period (typically 7–14 days).

7. Delivery Issues and Special Cases

7.1 Incorrect or incomplete delivery address

You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. Once an order has been handed to the carrier, we cannot guarantee that an address change is still possible. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you to clarify. A reshipment is only possible against payment of the full shipping costs again. If you do not wish to have the package reshipped, we will refund the purchase price minus the original shipping cost and a reasonable processing fee (typically 15% of the order value).

7.2 Uncollected packages

If a package is not collected within the carrier's holding period and is returned to us, the same terms as in Section 7.1 apply: a reshipment is only possible against payment of the renewed shipping costs; alternatively, we refund the purchase price minus shipping and processing costs.

7.3 Lost shipments

If your shipment is marked "lost" by the carrier or remains "in transit" for an unusually long period, please contact us at info@flappie.ch. To be processed as a loss case, the following are required:

  • Notification within 14 days of the estimated delivery date stated in the shipping confirmation;
  • Your order number and the carrier tracking number;
  • A brief description of the circumstances (e.g. "not delivered", "delivered to wrong address").

We will then initiate an investigation with the carrier. Such investigations can take up to three weeks. If the carrier confirms the loss, we will ship a replacement free of charge or refund the purchase price — at your choice. If tracking demonstrably shows that the shipment was handed to you or to a person authorised by you, the delivery is considered complete; in that case there is no replacement claim, unless mandatory consumer-protection rights apply.

7.4 Damaged shipments

Please inspect the shipment for visible damage on arrival. Visible transit damage must be reported to Flappie immediately, and in any event within 4 days of receipt, in writing to info@flappie.ch, with:

  • Order number and tracking number;
  • Photos of the damaged packaging and the device;
  • A brief description of the damage.

Hidden transit damage that was not apparent on receipt must be reported within 4 days of discovery, and in any event within the statutory notification period for defects. Confirmed transit damage is remedied through free replacement or, where this is not possible, a refund of the purchase price.

7.5 Refused delivery

If you refuse to accept a shipment without a valid reason, this is treated as a return under your right of withdrawal (see Terms and Conditions Section A 13 and our Refund Policy). Outbound and return shipping costs and any diminished value of the goods may be deducted.

8. Reservation Phase / Pre-Sale (where applicable)

If Flappie temporarily reverts to a reservation phase due to limited inventory, production constraints, or strategic decisions, the following additional provisions apply:

  • Placing a reservation does not constitute a purchase contract (see Terms and Conditions Section A 18.1). It is an expression of interest backed by a refundable reservation deposit.
  • Estimated delivery dates are communicated on the product page, at checkout, and by email. They are non-binding estimates.
  • Reservation customers receive regular email updates on production progress and the expected delivery date.
  • Reservations are fulfilled in the order they were placed in the production queue.
  • Shipping for reservation deliveries: Shipments under the Reservation Program are sent preferentially as registered mail with signature on delivery, to ensure secure handover to reservation customers.
  • Before actual delivery, you may cancel your reservation at any time free of charge in accordance with Terms and Conditions Section A 18.4; the reservation deposit is refunded in full (less any payment-processing fees).

9. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Information about returns, the right of withdrawal, and refunds is set out in our Refund Policy and in our Terms and Conditions, in particular:

  • Section A 10 — 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee ("Happiness Guarantee")
  • Section A 11 — 24-month warranty
  • Section A 12 — Return and warranty processing
  • Section A 13 — 14-day right of withdrawal for EU/UK consumers

10. Force Majeure

Flappie is not liable for delivery delays or non-deliveries caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, carrier disruptions, government orders, pandemics, or other force-majeure events. In such cases, we will inform you promptly of the expected delivery status and seek a solution together with you.
