How much does the Flappie app cost?
The Flappie app is free. You can control your cat flap, set lock times, and view, save and share videos and photos of your cat.
Which languages is the app available in?
The Flappie app is available in German, English and French. We are working on more languages and will release them gradually, so you can use Flappie in your own language across the countries where we sell it.
Can I set lock times for my cats?
With the Flappie app, you decide when your cats can come in and go out. Exit restrictions apply to all cats together. Individual entry restrictions with Cat ID are in development, so in future you will be able to decide when each cat can come in.
Do you absolutely need an app for Flappie or does it work without one?
Flappie also works without the app. You can save your cats and prey detection is also guaranteed. However, we recommend that you connect Flappie to the Internet to always have the latest prey detection models.
How do I install the Flappie app?
The Flappie app is available. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, sign in and set up your Flappie.
What can I do with the Flappie app?
The Flappie app is free. You can control your cat flap, set lock times, and view, save and share videos and photos of your cat.
Is it possible to disable prey detection in the Flappie app?
Yes, you can disable prey detection in the app if you want. You can do this in the settings.
How does Flappie process my data?
Prey detection: Runs directly on your Flappie and works without an internet connection.
Videos in the app: When Flappie is connected to the internet, recordings are uploaded to our cloud so you can watch them in the app. Without an internet connection, no recordings are uploaded.
Cat ID: Flappie needs an internet connection for the initial learning phase and setup. Once setup is complete, recognition also works offline.
Improving our AI: We use selected recordings to improve our AI. You can opt out of AI training in the app settings. You can find more details in our privacy policy.
