Frequently asked questions
Does the app cost anything?
The basic version of the Flappie app is free of charge. This version gives you access to basic features, including customizing your cat flap settings, videos and statistics of your cat(s). However, these features are limited in the free version compared to the Premium Plan. Details on the specific features of the basic version and Premium Plan are yet to be provided.
How does the free version differ from the premium version?
We will be able to offer you a more detailed overview of the individual features in the near future.
Can I set a schedule for my cats to come and go?
You can set curfews for your cats via the app.
Do you absolutely need an app for Flappie or does it work without one?
Flappie also works without the app. You can save your cats and prey detection is also guaranteed. However, we recommend that you connect Flappie to the Internet to always have the latest prey detection models.
How do I install the Flappie app on my smartphone?
Our app is currently not available (except for test customers). In the future, you will be able to download our app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
What features does the Flappie app offer in the free version?
The free version of the Flappie app offers you basic functions such as controlling the cat flap, prey detection, push notifications and saving videos and photos of your cat.
Is it possible to disable prey detection in the Flappie app?
Yes, you can disable prey detection in the app if you want. You can do this in the settings.
How secure is my data collected through the Flappie app?
Your data is safe with Flappie. All data is transmitted encrypted and stored on secure servers.
